The 6.35mm Stereo Inline Socket with Metal Body has two types of cable strain relief Black (F229B) and Red (F229R). The socket is a ¼-inch (6.35mm) TRS stereo female connector meant to be put in-line on a cable (not for panel mounting). It’s typically used to extend, split, or re-terminate audio leads while keeping a stereo (Left/Right + ground) signal path.
