Unlike most VGA cables this lead also carries a 3.5mm Jack to 3.5mm Jack for sound.
Most laptops and Computers have a jack sound output for speakers or headphones output.
Many Data projectors & Flat Screen TV's have a 3.5mm jack input associated with the VGA socket in a few cases some Projectors or TV's may require a jack socket to 2 x phono adapter cable to convert the jack to Red and White (RCA Phonos).
