For switching two composite video or two S/VHS channel or two stereo audio signals with or without video from two sources to one receiver or amplifier etc. The source can be selected by pushing one of the two switches on the front.  It is also possible to connect a set of headphones, headset, or earphone via the the front 3.5mm mini jack socket which will automatically shut off the audio signal from the rear output channel; ideal for private listening or monitoring.
