“AFTER THE DUST” by Hughie Woods. A movie filmed and produced in the 1980’s, covering the construction of the M65 Motorway. The movie commissioned with the help of Sir Alfred McAlpines, Faircloughs Construction and the Department of Transport gives an accurate record and understanding of the construction and creation of the M65 Motorway during Phase 1. This amateur movie was filmed and produced by Cine Film Enthusiast Hughie Woods, a dedicated family man with a love of making movies. As a member of the Accrington Cine Film Club he spent many hours painstakingly filming, editing and narrating his productions. Making movies using cine film required time, dedication & patience. It should be remembered that in the days when cine movies were produced there were no computers to create any effects. This DVD offers you an insight into the way amateur movies were produced along with interesting historical footage of places and people filmed in the 1980’s.
